Questions before you book

We’re not blessed with the best access in the world. It’s plenty wide enough for farm vehicles but it is single track. This is the main reason for sticking to arrival and departure times please. There’s a link to a video of the lane here from behind the wheel of a 1933 Austin 7.

Reception is open everyday. During peak season someone is on reception 8.30am-7.30pm.

Arrival is between 1.00 pm and 9.30pm, departure must be before 11.00am please. Remember we need to manage the traffic flow on our access lane as best we can.

All pitches have room for one car. There may be room for a second vehicle depending on the size of your tent/campervan, but there is no overflow parking on site. Friends/family are welcome to visit you for the day and will find plenty of parking nearby in Padstow.

With all the lovely bakeries and delicatessens, plus the Spar Supermarket and Padstow Farm Shop, you’ve got everything you need on your doorstep. Padstow Tesco is just up the road too. It’ll take you 10-15 mins to walk there or a couple of minutes in the car. Wildbake visit us on a Thursday Evening serving incredible Pizzas and The Little Coffee Wagon visits most mornings serving Coffees, Teas and Pastries.

There’s charging points in the Old Pig Sheds. Otherwise, you can always leave it with us in Reception and we’ll pop it on charge for you. It won’t cost you anything but if you’d like to put some money in the charity pot, that would be ace!

There’s a couple of freezers in reception for ice blocks. We stock one with our own ice blocks that will be cleaned and already frozen for you to borrow.  There’s also a freezer for your own blocks if you prefer.

The nearest sandy beaches are the Estuary Beaches. They’re about a 20 minute walk from the campsite through town. Otherwise, It’ll take you 5 minutes to drive to Trevone Bay, 10 minutes to Harlyn Bay or 15 minutes to Constantine Bay.

Well, we haven’t got one. Indeed, we haven’t got guest WiFi on site.  The 4G signal is pretty good and plenty of places offer free WiFi in town. We’ve got a connection to the office so if there’s anything you want to check or need printed etc. just let us know.

As much as we love a good campfire, regrettably we do not permit campfires on site – it’s just too much of a risk. We’re working on an idea of putting in a communal fire pit so watch this space. BBQs are fine but for the time being it’s a “no” to fires.
